Winnie and Walter belated 2nd birthday bash

EDIT: I have had no internet and wasn't aware this didn't post, so this is very late but i do hope you can join in :)

Hello.
I'm super excited to  be hosting a challenge at Winnie and Walter blog for the belated 2nd birthday bash.
Each of the design team have challenges going on so do check them out.
Along with all the awesome challenges you have the chance to win prizes including all stamps released in 2016 and a chance to be a guest designer.
How cool is that? For all of the detail be sure to check out Shay's blog post.

My challenge is "anything but a card".
I know everyone will rock this.
I have started with a tag .....I had much grander plans but I'm in the middle of moving house.
Some other examples you cloud make tags, pocket pages, art journals, gift wrapping and 3D items anything so long as its not a card.

On my tag you also get a little sneak peak at a new item from the next release ;)
I have used the Katherine cutaways with black card and the new dies with white card.
I wanted some bling so used my favourite turquoise glitter card with the In a word happy cutaway

I added the stamped birthday and finished with some glitter enamel dots and the black and white ribbon.

Thanks for looking.

Add a little dazzle and Casual Friday's day 5

Hello.
Its the last day of the week of blog hops with Add a little dazzle and Casual Friday's.
Its truly been a fun and inspiring week.

As you can see i haven't made a card for today but instead went with something different.....
..... ear-rings.
I have used the  linked dies from Casual Fridays and the silver side of add a little dazzle craft metal sheets and baby blue metal sheet.
Although a little fiddly these are very simple to make.
To start you need to die cut the links from the silver side then cut very carefully to separate the links.
you need four as they are the same both sides.
Then repeat but die cut the links from the blue metal but this time you want to keep the centres.
I then cut a small oval piece of card and using glossy accents adhered everything together.
It should look the same both sides and the card will not be visible.
I then used small silver jump rings to attach the findings .
you could easily change these up to more elaborate designs.
***Obviously these are perfectly wear able but will not be waterproof.***
I made the tag to hold the earrings from the funky round tag from Casual Fridays.

Pleas click the images to got to the products.

Bags and tags!

Hello.
Something a little different today in the shape of CAS-ual Friday's challenge.
The challenge was to create a CAS gift bag with a tag.

I used some Fancy pants paper to make both the bag and the tag.
The pumpkin is made from a plain old oval punch and pumpkin pie card stock, i stamped one of the images from casual Fridays stamp set Breath in versamark onto the pumpkin to make it look more like pumpkin texture lol.
The same image is used to ground the pumpkin.
I used another casual Fridays stamp for the tag, i used the "sweet" sentiment stamp from Rad and coloured it with an orange copic pen.
I added the tag to some sweeties that will fit nicely inside my bag :)
The tag and bag are finished with some burlap flowers and some paper string.

Thanks for looking.

Hello.
Something  a little different from me today for the challenge at The play date cafe
I really couldn't pull these colours together using paper/ink, soooo...
I got the yarn out :0)
I made this crochet flower square to be the centre piece for a cushion I'm going to make for my daughter.
Now i need to make some smaller squares to go around this one.
Thanks for looking

The men

Hello.

I couldn't not join in the challenge over at Simon says stamp and show this week.

The challenge is bring on the men.

As its dhs birthday this week i was bound to make something masculine.

And ended up with this tag.

I think this is the only really manly stamp i have lol.

Any way my 17 year old ds said it was cool so that's fine by me :0)

Thanks for looking.

CAL :: part one

Hello.
Here's  an update on how I'm getting on with the Maybe Matilda's Crochet along.
I must  say that i am really enjoying this and the instructions given are so clear.
But...lol....wait for it ....This is my 3rd try!
Because i didn't print out the pattern DOH!
I thought i memorised it and well, er, obviously i hadn't .
The plus side being that i can do this stitch (well sort of) and it comes out in a circle and can also get it to spiral.
Yep seriously!!
Which I'm sure will lead to some interesting makes.

So my photos aren't really great at showing this but I'm up to 30 inches already.
My DD has said this is going to be for her but I'm gonna get some pretty girly colours and make another smaller one for her.

Anyways i think this is really easy to get started on especially with all the great photos and instruction
from Rachel and she even linked up to help us peeps in the UK make sure we used the right stitches.
So my point is why not head over to Maybe Matilda and join in. :0)
Thanks for looking.

Back to school.....

Well sort of.... Its the first of September and the start of Shimelles class,
"Learn something new every day"
I bought the kit this year as most of my paper stash is packed away.
That's where this album came from.
The cover is fabric and i sprayed some colour wash onto it before adding anything else.
Me being me had to add some bakers twine lol.
Everything else is from the kit.

A close up :0)
So far today isn't going quite as planned and as for what i will learn who knows but i should be back tomorrow to share what ever it may be.
Thanks for looking.

Bingo cards and butterflies?

Hello.

Bingo cards and butterflies is another challenge from Shimelle.

I managed the butterflies, but i don't have any bingo cards.

I have basically copied the layout with a couple of little twists.

I stamped the background using a unity stamp.

Then the film strip and two other ippity stamps were used.

Not bad for someone who cant stamp on a layout lol.

Thanks for looking.

3 is the magic number

Hello.

This challenge from Shimelle is to use 3 of something.

So Ive used 3 flowers, and 3 card candi.

Think I need to add something else to this layout now that Ive seen the picture properly,

That can wait for now lol.

Papers used are from Kaiser craft.

Thanks for looking.

Scrap half the page

Hello.

Yep another scrapbook layout :0)

I made this for a challenge on Shimelles blog.

I don't normally join in things like this but glad i did as Ive completed 3 layouts and a card today.

The challenge was to scrap only half a page to leave plenty of white space.

So i went quite literal and scraped half the page lol.

But i did just add the date at the top of the page.

Papers used are fancy pants the little things from a Cleo crafts kit.

Thanks for looking.

Totally turquoise

Hello.

Just sharing some bits i made for a turquoise themed party.

First up is some bunting.

I was quite pleased as this was my first go with fabric.

And some more bunting ...more aqua but hey it still fits :0)

A fab funky 40 sign, I used lots of offcuts from the bunting to make this.

And a birthday card.
I used Lawn fawn and Unity stamps for this.

Thanks for looking.
