Lawn fawnatics challenge 7 watercolour

Hello.

I water coloured both my image and my background.

The background is made using distress inks and the image is zig clean color pens.

The sentiment was stamped onto one of the slider dies. 

Once the panel was finished I added it to some patterned paper.

My card for the challenge is very bright and cheerful.

I have made a fun shaker card. 

To start I die cut a panel that I had coloured with distress inks and water splatters with the scalloped rectangles. 

Then cut a smaller rectangle from it to use inside while keeping the other part for the outer frame.

All of the images use the Get well soon mini stamp set and matching dies.

All of the images were stamped with black archival ink then water coloured with zig clean color markers.

Im really pleased with how this card turned out but i wish i had stamped little face on the plasters.

In Bloom: Renee's Leaves

Hello I have this card on the Seven hills crafts blog today.

Today I have a card featuring Winnie and Walter's  In bloom:Renee's leaves stamp set.

To start I stamped the image onto water colour card with versamark and then heat embossed in platinum.

Then using the Gansai tambi water colours I coloured the images really loosely.

I let it all dry then added splashes of the white gold from the starry colours set.

The panel was die cut with Lawn fawns stitched rectangles and also a smaller rectangle of vellum.

For the sentiment I used Lawn fawns scripty thanks die. 

Its cut from water colour card and then coloured with the white gold water colour.

I adhered to the vellum and then added the same adhesive on the reverse of the vellum so nothing shows through once everything is put together.

To finish I added more splashes of the white gold.

In bloom birthday

Hello, here is my blog post from the  Seven hills crafts blog

My garden is in full bloom , well nearly just waiting on the tulips now but that inspired me to make this floral card using Winnie and Walters  In Bloom; Annas florals.

Each image is stamped in black archival ink and water coloured with Inktense pencils. 

I kept the colours quite light and I wanted a loose type of water colour style so I have used more water than I normally would.

I then fussy cut and adhered each one to the top part of my card Panel.

The panel was then added to my card base which has a stripe of patterned paper down one side.

The sentiment is also from Winnie and Walter , The big, the bold and the happy. 

To finish I added some sequins.

Watercolour thanks

Hello.

The last Flickr challenge from Simon says stamp was  watercolour.

So i made this simple set.

I actually made these last week and have only just managed to get them uploaded, the challenge is about to finish but you could still check out the new one tomorrow.

This first card is my favourite of the three different colour ways.

They were really simple to make i die cut the "thanks" from water colour card and added some colour using Zig clean color pens and loosened it with some water.

The only other detail is the card base. 

I use co-ordinating distress inks to add an ombre effect.

I like the simplicity but i think i will be adding some clear sequins before sending them.

Lawnscaping challenge #113

Its new challenge time at Lawnscaping :)
This challenge we are sponsored by Ellen Hutson.
The theme this month is texture.
So i got out my much neglected texture paste and a stencil among other things.

I have used the new Booyah set from Lawn fawn.

I stamped the images in black archival ink and coloured with my zig clean colour pens and fussy cut out.

For my background I used  a stars stencil and texture paste over a distress inked background.

When that was dry and i had adhered the ghosts to the panel i used gel pens in white green and purple to draw some dots or different sizes around them and then covered the dots on glossy accents for even more texture.

I cant wait to see what cool and creative ways you have of adding some texture to your cards.

Picture perfect

Here my blog post from Make the day special stamp store.

Its world photography day today and that's inspired today's cards. 

First up is this card using Lawn fawns #Awesome stamp set.

I am ashamed to say it hasn't seen much ink if any since Ive had it.

I started by using the small camera icon  and heat embossed with clear powder.

I then water coloured and left to dry.

I made the sentiment and added to the water coloured panel.

Very simple to do and some clear sequins finish it just  nicely.

This card uses an older lawn fawn set, Say cheese. 

I love the old polaroid style camera ...still have one in real life too.

I simply stamped and coloured with pencils before fussy cutting.

I stamped the background using stamps from Winnie and Walter and hero arts ombre ink.

To add my sentiment i cut the camera where the picture would come from and place the banner with the stamped sentiment in,

  

 

I hope you get to take some pictures today ...maybe of cards ...for our challenge? ;)

MTDSSS sketch challenge

Hello.

Its challenge time at Make the day special stamp store.

This month we have a sketch to use i think this is a great sketch and hope you will join in.

I have used Newtons antics stamp set from Newtons Nook.

I stamped the image onto some watercolour card with archival ink and coloured with Zig clean color pens and fussy cut out.

I also used the pens on some acetate to make the background. simply by scribbling on to it and spraying with a mini mister then just applied to my card base.

For the panel across the card i used some vellum and stamped the paw prints in turquoise archival ink on the reverse and adhered to the  card using some washi tape.

Then i added the image on some foam tape. 

The sentiment is stamped directly onto my  card base.

I finished with some dots of glossy accents.

Sending smiles

This is my blog post for Make the day special stamp store.

I decided to go through my stamps and find a set that i hadn't used in a while.

I came across my mama elephant stash and new what i wanted to create straight away.

I started by die cutting a  stitched rectangle from Lawn fawn and then  i die cut that using the landscape trio creative cuts. 

I die cut randomly but wanted the empty the cuts to all start at one point and fan out. 

I paced the die cut over my card blank and dew roughly were the sequins were to go then set about sticking the sequins on ...double sided tape is a godsend for this type of project.

Once all in place i added the die cut panel on lots of foam tape to hold it in place.

The sentiment was stamped on top the panel with black archival ink. 

The bunny and the balloons from up and away were stamped onto watercolour card and coloured with watercolour pens before being fussy cut and added on to the panel. 

I didn't stamp the balloon strings and have instead used some thread just for an extra detail.

Watercolour blog hop

Hello.

As soon as i saw the Facebook event for a watercolour themed blog hop hosted by pretty pink posh i knew i wanted to join in, i mean who doesn't love water colours?

With all the various types of water colours i have i went with some distress inks.

I'm not an overly pink person but i LOVE picked raspberry so that had to be used along with squeezed lemonade and salty ocean.

I added the ink to an acrylic block and lifted with a water brush once it was all dried i added some splashes of each colour.

I used Winnie and Walters Addies garden stamps, its full of the most beautiful flower images.

The images are heat embossed in platinum on vellum and fussy cut.

I coloured the back of the vellum with copics which gives a muted almost watercolour feel.

I finished with the sentiment and trimmed down die cut "you" in glitter card and finally some clear Pretty pink posh sequins.

Mix it up with Ellen Hutson

Hello.

I made this card for the Mix it up challenge from Ellen Hutson.

The challenge is to mix Essentials by Ellen products with Avery Elle.

I have used Bold blossoms dies  and Bold Blooms stamps from Ellen Hutson and finished frames happy word die and brushed stamp set from Avery Elle.

I started by heat embossing the flower and leaf images i then die cut the small panel and coloured with peerless watercolours.

Next i added the happy die cut.

I stamped the oh and day and fussy cut to fit around the happy word die cut.

Once everything was in place i added some black wink of stella then glossy accents to the happy.

In Bloom with Winnie and Walter

Hello.

The new release from Winnie and Walter has arrived recently at Make the day special stamp store and i wanted to show you these fabulous floral stamp sets.

Both are large sets and you get lots to play with.

I knew straight away i wanted to watercolour with the Addies garden  set.

I started by stamping  in distress inks and then used a water brush to loosen the colour and to add more.

Everything is stamped and coloured this way.

Once it had dried I stamped the sentiment in black archival ink.

Its finished with some clear sequins.

Next i have used lola's bouquet.

I have stamped all of the images in distress inks.

Once i finished the random stamping i added two stripe of washi tape on the bottom edge of my card base.

The sentiment is stamped in black archival ink and i didn't ink up the "s".

Then i added a couple of enamel dots.
