Sending smiles

Hello.
This is my blog post for Make the day special stamp store.
I decided to go through my stamps and find a set that i hadn't used in a while.
I came across my mama elephant stash and new what i wanted to create straight away.

I started by die cutting a  stitched rectangle from Lawn fawn and then  i die cut that using the landscape trio creative cuts.
I die cut randomly but wanted the empty the cuts to all start at one point and fan out.
I paced the die cut over my card blank and dew roughly were the sequins were to go then set about sticking the sequins on ...double sided tape is a godsend for this type of project.
Once all in place i added the die cut panel on lots of foam tape to hold it in place.
The sentiment was stamped on top the panel with black archival ink.
The bunny and the balloons from up and away were stamped onto watercolour card and coloured with watercolour pens before being fussy cut and added on to the panel.
I didn't stamp the balloon strings and have instead used some thread just for an extra detail.

True star

Hello.
I couldn't believe my luck when i saw the sketch at Case this sketch as i recently got the super fun shaker shapes star and heart dies from clearly besotted and could put it to use.

I have followed the sketch but flipped back up to portrait rather than landscape.
I have used some patterned paper from Lawn Fawn and added the stripe to my panel then used the clearly besotted star die.
I added another piece of Lawn fawn paper behind the open space and added some sequins.
I wanted to add to the sentiment so used one from a new Winnie and Walter set and heat embossed in silver on some vellum and fussy cut.

In laid die cutting

Hello.
Have you seen the new feature on the Winnie and Walter blog with Gayatri?
Its called "In focus" and the first one is highlighting the inlaid die cutting technique.
I have tried before and love this technique for creating a different look.

As you can see I got carried away and made two cards lol.

I first made this card and wasn't going to have any stamping but once i had coloured the masked section with my distress inks i though some gold accents would look good so stamped in gold one of the images from In Bloom Lola's Bouquet.
Then finished with some twine and gold pretty pink posh sequins.

A close up.

For my next card i wanted to change it up a bit.
The "friend" die cut is still partly  inlaid, I used another one that had also been masked so there is a big contrast.
The plus side is i have another spare die cut :)
I stamped the true from the true stamp set and some silver sparkles from my precious stamp set.
I finished with some silver glitter washi tape, enamel dots and rhinestones.

You still have 17 days to join in with this on the Winnie and Walter blog :)
Thanks for looking.

Add a little dazzle and Casual Friday's blog hop day 4

Hello.
Welcome to day 4 of this fun week of blog hops with Add a little Dazzle and Casual Friday's.

For my card today i have used Garland green and Wondrous white craft metal sheets from Add a little dazzle and Casual trees dies and Christmas carols stamps from casual Fridays.
I die cut the tree from the green metal and again in the white and also some thick cardstock.
I adhered the green metal to the card to make it pop from the card base then cut just the ends from the white tree and added them to the green to make mistletoe.
To finish i added some diamond stickles to the white metal and  a twine bow.

Happy hello's

Hello.
I'm joining in with the challenge at Fusion again this week.
I love both the sketch and the inspiration photo and decide to go for the "Fusion" and combine both.
The photo inspired the patterned paper that i used which has tiny polka dots and the white flower ribbons.
I used one of my Unity stamps for the butterfly from the sketch, its from the Life becoming store kit.
It was heat embossed in white then fussy cut.
The sentiment is from Die-namics happy hello's .
To finish i added some pink liquid pearls.
Thanks for looking.

Winter blues 2... cfc79

Hello.
Ive made another car that fits the challenge from CAS-ual Fridays.

I stamped a sentiment from paper smooches "Joyful greetings" set.
First in black and then around it in blue.
I then sponged the blue ink .
I made a Christmas tree  from using spellbinders "nested lacey pennents" and the cupcake builder punch from Stampin up.
I added a little detail by putting random dots of stickles on the tree and machine stitching around the edged of the die cut panel.
As this is a two week challenge you still have time to join in :)
Thanks for looking.
