Little santa girl

Hello, here is my blog post from Make the day special stamp store blog.

I am still making Christmas cards, guess i should have started sooner.

I'm not normally one to mix stamp companies not sure why i just don't but for today's card i wanted to use the little santa girl from neat and tangled but she need some thing extra for a background. 

Winnie and Walters winter woodland proved to be just what was needed

I stamped the girl in momento black ink and coloured with copics. 

I then fussy cut her out.

I made the background directly on to my card base using distress inks with some torn paper and the image from winter woodland.

It makes a simple but effective background and adds some extra detail.

Little tangles 62, Thankful

Hello.

 Happy Thanksgiving to all those that are celebrating today.

I made a late entry for the Little tangles challenge , "Thankful".

It was nice to have little break  from all my Christmas preparations.

I got out some patterned paper for this card.

I knew pretty much what i wanted to do once i saw the challenge so i just picked some paper that i thought would work with the balsa wood that i used to die cut the tiny triangles die from neat and tangled.

I layered the papers and die cut and added some green and white twine.

I used the everyday circles stamp set for the sentiment. 

I stamped in gold and added some gold perfect pearls to it.

Once that was i place i finished with some gold sequins.

Little tangles - Mint and gold

Hello.

Its been a while since Ive had time to join in with some of my favourite challenges so I'm happy that i got time to make this card today for neat and tangled challenge blog Little tangles.

I couldn't resist this colour scheme of mint and gold.

I started by blending some cracked pistachio distress ink onto my panel.

Then heat embossed with my favourite gold powder from wow the time warp stamp.

On a spare piece of card i heat embossed in the same gold powder the hello from everyday circles stamp set and die cut it.

Once i had added it to the card i need a bit more so used the friend sentiment from Winnie and Walter and added it over some gold glitter tape.

I then finished the card with some clear and gold sequins and gold stickles.

Hello.

Its the final day of the Add a little dazzle and Neat and tangled stamps blog hop.

Its been a great week full of lots of inspiration.

First stop on the hop is the Neat and tangled blog.

Today i went with a tag for my project. 

I wanted to show that you can keep it simple with the metal sheets and use as an accent and still get great results.

I used a scallop circle punch with some Add a little dazzle scarlet red craft metal sheets.

It was then simply folded over the top of my tag.

It adds interest and just that little extra touch.

I have used the little Santa girl stamp set from Neat and tangle to complete my tag. 

I love this little girl and the  little merry Christmas tag that come with it is just perfect for adding a festive touch with its berries.

Everything was coloured with copics and i added the other details with a white gel pen.

Another angle just so you can see how stunning the red metal is.

Its  day four of the Add a little dazzle and Neat and tangled stamps blog hop.

For my card today i have use the on the corner of stamps and  dies and the additions  and little Santa girl stamps from neat and tangled.

I started by making a background from distress inks i then stamped and heat embossed the little Santa girl on vellum  and coloured her with copics.

I then machine stitched the vellum onto the card.

The street sign is die cut and heat embossed on the silver side of a metal sheet and is adhered to the vellum with glossy accents.

Add a little dazzle and Neat and tangled blog hop day 3

Hello.

We have another awesome day blog hopping with Add a little dazzle and Neat and tangled stamps.

As its Wednesday we have combined our Dazzling diva challenge with the blog hop. 

Our challenge this week is to use the inlaid die cutting technique.

You of course can just join in without using the technique and you do not need to use craft metal either...so its a win win lol.

Continuing my love affair with black white and gold  i have used the tiny triangles dies from neat and tangled with Golden glimmer and black diamond craft metal sheets from Add a little dazzle.

Although there are lots of tiny pieces its not as difficult as it may look ....i have included a photo collage below showing how i do this.

My sentiment and the gold parts on the layer underneath are both from just for you stamp set from Neat and tangled.

They are both heat embossed in gold.

To finish i added some clear sequins also from neat and tangled.

Hope this helps to understand how i make this techniques easy for me to do. 

Excuse the state of my cutting plates lol.

Once the die cut has been through the big shot the small ices are left on the cutting plate i then cover them with washi tape this makes it easy to pick up and then transfer to another die.

The washi doesn't leave any sticky or marks on the metal so is perfect.

Once the triangles are in the other die cut i add some double sided tape and then a piece of card to keep them in place.

As you can see i had to cut two panels so i have a spare.

Hello.

Its day 2 of the fun week long blog hop with Add a little dazzle and Neat and tangled stamps,

I started by stamping the street sign from on the corner of from Neat and tangled onto some black diamond craft metal sheets with versamark and heat embossed with a sparkly white embossing powder.

I then used the matching die to cut it out.

I then stamped and heat embossed the merry and bright sentiments on gold.

To make the scene more festive i used the bells from little santa girl stamp set they are coloured with copics and fussy cut out.

The main part of the sign is adhered with glossy accents to the panel and the sign parts are raised up on some foam tape just to add some dimension.

The background  was made using distress inks.

Hello.

We have a fun blog hop week with Add a little dazzle and Neat and tangled.

Hope you will join in with the fun inspiration and prizes this week.

You can start at the add a little dazzle blog or Neat and tangled blog.

I started by stamping the sunburst stamp in versamark and heat embossed with a gold sparkly powder.

I cut a small piece of Golden glimmer craft metal sheet and heat embossed in gold the largest diamond from sparkle and shine stamp set from neat and tangled and fussy cut it out.

I then stamped my sentiment from sparkle and shine and heat embossed in sparkly black embossing powder.

Here is a different angle so you can just how sparkly the diamond is.

Just remember if you are heat embossing on craft metal sheets to use tweezers or some kind of tool as the metal will get much hotter than card or paper.
