Geometric cards

Hello here is my post from Make the day special stamp store blog.

With geometric patterns being so popular i wanted to have a play with two sets from Winnie and Walter.

True and My precious. 

Both a filled with fabulous geometrics shapes and patterns.

I am going to link up to Virginias view challenge as the first card fits the theme there :) 

I started by die cutting my stitched border panel and coloured with distress ink.

Then flicked some water and dabbed off a few times and then added some white ink the same way and finally spritzed with some glimmer mist.

The result is very sparkly.

I heat embossed the star on some water colour card and coloured various blues and greens.

After fussy cut it out I placed it onto the card panel with foam tape.

The sentiment is also heat embossed and i added some sparkly washi tape under just for an extra pop.

To finish i added some clear sequins and diamond stickles.

For my second card i had this panel cut and coloured then wasn't sure what to do with it so it has sat unloved for a while on my table.

Its coloured with distress ink and perfect pearls in gold.

While making my first card i had the ideas to add the gold heat embossed gems to this panel..

Its quite simple but the colours are beautiful together. 

Its finished with some sequins and gold liquid pearls.

Geometric birthday

Hello.

I have a card for the challenge at Virginias view  which is geometric.

This die from Winnie and Walter  seemed perfect.

I was asked by my sons friend if i could make a card for his mum ...and he needed it asap.

Well you wouldn't normally think of a shaker card as a quick go to card but i did it lol.

I die cut some pink foam twice and  and then two more time in white card.

I glued the two foam layers and one card layer together then added some acetate before adding the final card piece on top.

This gave plenty of space for my glass beads to move.

The background was coloured with distress inks and then i stamped the circle image from the sparkle stamp set in gold before adding to the rest of the shaker.

I used a mixture of beads in gold and dark and light pinks.

I made the sentiment with dies from Winnie and Walter and some thickers in white vinyl for the "mum"

Dazzling divas #50

Hello.

This week the dazzling Divas challenge  from  Add a little dazzle is a colour one.

We as always have the beautiful inspiration  photo so any colours from there are just fine :)

The only requirement for the challenge is to have fun.

I loved the pine cones and greenery in the picture so have taken my inspiration from that.

I stamped the pine needles  in distress ink on water colour card and loosened up with a water brush.

I did the same with the pine cones ...also added some red berries but in my excitement have covered them up lol.

The stamps i have used are Winter woodland from Winnie and Walter and you can get them here. 

I then stamped the deer in versamark onto some golden glimmer craft metal sheets and heat embossed with clear powder from WOW!.

Then fussy cut out and set aside.

I stamped the sentiment from the big the bold the merry in black archival ink and fussy cut part of it before adding the panel to my card front.

The background was made using distress inks and i finished it by stamping some snowflakes from the flurries set by Winnie and Walter.

Finally once everything else was put together i added the deer using foam tape.

you brighten my life

Hello.

Its a bit grey here in the UK and the challenge from Lawnscaping with its summery colours was just what i needed :)

I am also entering this at Virginia's view challenge which is to use die cutting.

I used all dies and just one stamp for my card.

Spring showers and float my boat dies and Life is good stamp set.

Hello.

Another stencil card for Virginias view.

I got this and some other stencils free with a magazine years ago and they have never been used.

I used distress inks with a blender and mixed the colours ...although i think maybe should have kept it as one lol....I'm still undecided haha.

I then used some stamps from Casual Fridays to add some more to the flower and the sentiment.
