Lawnscaping challenge #135 Patterned Palooza

Hello.
We have a super fun challenge starting on the  Lawnscaping challenges blog today.
We want you to add some patterns to your projects, you could use patterned paper or stamping get creative and have fun.
This challenge is sponsored by the amazing generous Ellen Hutson LLC.

As you can see I have used the fabulous mermaid for you stamp set for my card.
To start my card I made my card blank from white card and then stamped one of the sea weed stamps repeatedly.
I used four different blue inks to give an ombre effect.
I then added a sheet of vellum over the top to tone down the pattern a bit.

I stamped the images in momento black ink and then coloured with copics.
Once everything was coloured in I fussy cut them.

I also used some patterned paper to make the circle die cut.
I wanted the circle to centre the images.
The sentiment was added below on a banner.
Thanks for looking.

Lawnscaping #132 distress maniacs

Hello.
We have a really great creative challenge for you this week at the Lawnscaping blog.
"Distress maniacs"
Use some kind of distress, either a product like distress ink or distress your paper of card.
There really are so many things you can do for his challenge  and we cant wait ot see what you come up with.
This challenge is sponsored by the fabulous Lawn Fawn.

I started with my card base and I used an ink blender  with distress ink to make the background.
Then I used a rainbow die and I die cut it and then coloured with distress inks .....i probably should have done that the other way round lol but I only wanted to cut one ;)

I coloured this cut little critter from the believe in yourself mini set with hickory smoke distress ink and a water brush,
I left the dies cut clouds white but added some clear wink of stella.
To finish some sequins were added.
Thanks for looking.

Wonderful watercolour....Lawnscaping #122

Hello.
There is a new challenge up today on the Lawnscaping blog.
Water colouring!
I love water colouring ....I love the looseness  you can get,the soft effect, the many different mediums there are to create the look.
Water colouring is by far my favourite thing on cards.
This challenge is sponsored by the wonderful Lawn fawn.

For my card i have used Zig clean color pens.
These have been a must have for many  card makers and I must admit I love the bright colours you can get from them.
I started by stamping the light bulb in black archival ink onto my water colour card panel.
Once the ink dried I added the colour with the pen to the edges of the bulb and pulled the colour into the centres with a water brush.
For my sentiment i stamped it all using Milo's ABC in a straight line then cut each letter out individually.
The tricky part was then adding all the foam tape and getting it into a circle lol.
It did go a little off but I'm OK with that.
Hope you can join in with the watercolour goodness this week :)
Thanks for looking.

Lawnscaping 121, Warm winter wishes

Hello.
Its the first Lawnscaping challenge of 2016 and it couldn't be more fitting as the temperature is cooling a bit here.
I was thinking we had bypassed winter and gone straight to spring!
We would love to see you get out your Lawn fawn stamps and make a winter themed project.
The sponsor for this challenge is Ellen Hutson.

For my card I used some older lawn fawn papers for the background and stamped the starry backdrops onto the black and die cut the trees from the green.
The sheep from Baaah humbug are coloured in blue and pink prisma colour pencils ...my daughter said they should be those colours :)
I added them on foam tape to the snowy panel and left it very clean and simple.
Thanks for looking.

Which made it especially difficult to choose between sets.
I  went with In bloom Addies garden.
I have used this set a lot and i don't think i could ever get bored with it.
Whether its water colouring, embossing you can always change how each image looks making it so very versatile.

In Bloom: Addie's Garden

Second up on my favourites is Gleeful gardens from Lawn fawn.
I love this set so much.
Although it has really simple images you an really pack a punch by layering them up changing the colours or making scenes.
They are great for decorating enveloped for crafty friends too.
Soo many options.

Gleeful Gardens

Third  and this was tough to just stop here lol ....but its Newtons Christmas cuddles stamp set.
I have always been a cat person so the newtons cats stamps really are just perfect.
I love this set in particular it has such sweet images and can be used any time not just for Christmas.

Newton's Christmas Cuddles

Lawnscaping 119, Tags

Hello.
Todays new lawnscapaing challenge is just perfect for this time of year and everywhere you look everyone has been making them.
TAGS!
This challenge is sponsored by  Ellen Hutson.

I haven't used any of my "tag" dies instead i opted for the Lawn fawn puffy stars dies.
I started by die cutting the star and coloured it with distress inks.
I added the deer from toboggan together after i coloured and fussy cut it out.
Then stamped the sentiment.

To make the star into a shaker tag i used a clear A4 plastic pocket.
I just placed the die cut star between the plastic then added the metal die onto the page and secured with washi tape.
Then using the sealing end of my fuse tool around the edges to seal it.
The metal die is a perfect guide.
You only need to go half way around then add your sequins or what ever you need to fill the pocket before continuing to seal all edges.
I used scissors to trim around all the edges.
Using my cropodile i added a eyelet, doing this means that nothing can escape as all parts are still sealed.
Finally some lawn fawn peppermint twine to finish.
Thanks for looking.

Fawny holiday week, Merry Christmas

Hello.
The Lawn fawn "Fawny  holiday week" continues today.
The lawn fawn team and lawnscaping team have provided some fantastic inspiration for you all to get started with your Christmas cards and holiday projects.
Alongside the fabulous projects there will be videos and give aways.

I wanted to play with the toboggan together set as ive been having so much fun with it.
I didn't want the card too thick as its going to be mailed so there was lots of masking involved to make this.
Once everything was stamped and coloured the masks went back on and i coloured the background with distress inks.
I the added the Christmas using  alphas just stamped onto white card and cut into small blocks and coloured with copics.
Thanks for looking.

My card for today has much softer look and non traditional colours.
I made the background with blues pink and purple distress inks  and also some pearl glimmer mists.
I added the snowflakes from  the mini snowflakes lawncuts randomly.
I left them white so they would pop from the background.
The silver wire was just wrapped around and is held to the card by the scripty joy die cut.
The little birds either side of the sentiment are from bannerfific and are coloured with copics and fussy cut.
They were added to the acrd with foam tape and tat also helps secure the wire.
The finishing touches are some sequins and diamond stickles.

Lawnscaping #114

Hello.
Today there is a new challenge from Lawnscaping sponsored by Lawn Fawn.
The challenge is "one layer".
That might sound daunting to some but honestly give it a try .
Some clever masking or embossing even  distress inks can add lots of interest without any bulk.

For my card i stamped the butterfly from flutter by  and then masked with a post it note.
Then using cracked pistachio and mermaid lagoon distress inks i blended the background.
I had also masked the card base so only the top corner was coloured.
I wanted to give a different look to the blended ink so added some perfect pearls.

I removed the mask and coloured the butterfly with prisma colour pencils.
The sentiment was stamped underneath and is from scripty saying stamp set.
To finish i added some dots of liquid pearls.
thanks for looking.

Lawnscaping challenge #113

Hello.
Its new challenge time at Lawnscaping :)
This challenge we are sponsored by Ellen Hutson.
The theme this month is texture.
So i got out my much neglected texture paste and a stencil among other things.

I have used the new Booyah set from Lawn fawn.
I stamped the images in black archival ink and coloured with my zig clean colour pens and fussy cut out.
For my background I used  a stars stencil and texture paste over a distress inked background.
When that was dry and i had adhered the ghosts to the panel i used gel pens in white green and purple to draw some dots or different sizes around them and then covered the dots on glossy accents for even more texture.

I cant wait to see what cool and creative ways you have of adding some texture to your cards.
Thanks for looking.

I added them to my die cut panel which i had added some squeezed lemonade and fossilized amber distress ink .
I then stamped the sunshine part of the sentiment onto the panel and added the die cut scripty hello die cut over the sun and clouds.
