Lawnscaping #136 Punny Time

Hello.

On the Lawnscaping blog today is a really punny challenge lol

We want you to make a project with a punny sentiment.

I know your going to have fun with this one.

Lawn fawn has so many fun stamps and sentiments that it was tough to choose which one to go with. 

I went with the Life is good stamp set.

To start I stamped the crab in various colours onto my card base.

I chose beach/sea type of colours.

Once there were enough images I then added some gold glimmer  mists.

Once that dried a white strip of card with the sentiment was placed across the card.

I stamped and coloured the crab with copics before fussy cutting and adding to the card at the end of the sentiment.

Lawnscaping challenge #135 Patterned Palooza

Hello.

We have a super fun challenge starting on the  Lawnscaping challenges blog today.

We want you to add some patterns to your projects, you could use patterned paper or stamping get creative and have fun. 

This challenge is sponsored by the amazing generous Ellen Hutson LLC.

As you can see I have used the fabulous mermaid for you stamp set for my card.

To start my card I made my card blank from white card and then stamped one of the sea weed stamps repeatedly. 

I used four different blue inks to give an ombre effect.

I then added a sheet of vellum over the top to tone down the pattern a bit.

I stamped the images in momento black ink and then coloured with copics.

Once everything was coloured in I fussy cut them.

I also used some patterned paper to make the circle die cut.

I wanted the circle to centre the images. 

The sentiment was added below on a banner.

Lawnscaping #134 Rainbow

Hello.

Today is the start of a new challenge over on the Lawnscaping blog.

We want to see everything "rainbow".

Personally I can not wait to see  how beautiful the gallery is going to be filled with so much colour.

This weeks sponsor is the amazing Lawn Fawn. 

To start my rainbow card I made my card base from my normal white card and using distress inks added a mixture of colours.

I the dies cut a panel of water colour car and made a blue ombre effect with some zig clean color pens and a water brush.

Then i stamped the waves with first and second generation stamping.

The sea monster was stamped in black archival ink on to water colour card and water coloured with inktense pencils and a water brush.
I gave him rainbow tentacles so he really stands out from the blue background.
I don't have the matching dies for this set so I fussy cut leaving a bit of a border.
To finish I stamped the sentiment and added some sequins and seed beads.

Lawnscaping challenge #133 Mood board

Hello. 

New challenge time at the Lawnscaping blog.

I wanted my card to be really clan and simple.

I used the summery colours as my inspiration.

The stamps used are the flowers from fairy friends stamp set.

They are coloured with copics.

I added the sentiment above them from the hello friend set.

I die cut some patterned paper and adhered it to my card base then added the smaller panel.

Lawnscaping #132 distress maniacs

Hello.

We have a really great creative challenge for you this week at the Lawnscaping blog.

"Distress maniacs"

Use some kind of distress, either a product like distress ink or distress your paper of card.

There really are so many things you can do for his challenge  and we cant wait ot see what you come up with.

I started with my card base and I used an ink blender  with distress ink to make the background.

Then I used a rainbow die and I die cut it and then coloured with distress inks .....i probably should have done that the other way round lol but I only wanted to cut one ;)

I coloured this cut little critter from the believe in yourself mini set with hickory smoke distress ink and a water brush, 

I left the dies cut clouds white but added some clear wink of stella.

To finish some sequins were added.

Lawnscaping #131, off kilter

Hello.

Its time for a new challenge at the  Lawnscaping blog.

This challenge is off kilter, anything at an angle. 

So try and think asymmetrical, there are so many options :)

I started my card by covering my card with some Lawn fawn Plaid paper.

I then die cut a stitched rectangle in white card. 

I stamped the sentiment from  the #Awesome stamp set.

I tied some twine around the trimmed down panel and added it to the card. 

The butterfly from the Flutter by stamp set is stamped on water colour paper with black archival ink and water coloured with different blue distress inks.

I then fussy cut it and added to the of kilter panel.

Lawnscaping #130 sparkle it up

Hello.
There's a new challenge today on the Lawnscaping blog and we want you to sparkle it up!
Add as much or little sparkle as you want .
There are so many options from sprays sequins stickles to name a few.

At first glance it might not be easy to see where i have added my sparkle. 

I can tell you there is so much shimmer and shine on this card in real life.

I added some gold glimmer mist to my panel after i had coloured with distress inks.

The fairy's wings also have so much sparkle from the diamond stickles.

I have also used wink of stella on the house and sequins and some gold stickles too.

All images are stamped in black archival ink and water coloured with Inktense pencils.

Lawnscaping #129, calling all critters

Hello.
Super fun challenge today on the Lawnscaping blog, Calling all critters.
So many options are there for you to use your favourite critters :)
This challenge is sponsored by the fabulous Ellen Hutson.

I had a  lot of fun making this card.

I started by colouring a die cut panel with some distress inks. 

I used my favourite new technique...which is to use make up brushes.

Once the colour was on I added some extra interest by flicking water on and added some perfect pearls for some shimmer,

Then I used the icicle die for some grass.

The critters and flowers are all stamped on to water colour card and water coloured with Inktense pencils and a water brush.

Everything was then fussy cut.

Once everything was adhered in place I added the die cut sentiment which has been cut and layered three times then covered with perfect pearls and glossy accents.

Final finishing touches were some sequins and stickles.

Lawnscaping #128 its a sketch

Its time for a new challenge over at Lawnscaping challenges.
This time its a fun sketch you can follow exactly, flip it just use part of it mostly just have fun!

I have used the sketch loosely and focused on the two diagonal stripes in the bottom right corner.

I started with my card base and used distress inks to make a cloudy background.

I then used a wavy die cut and a stitched cloud to follow the sketch.

I used the fairy friends stamp set .

The fairy is stamped in black archival ink and water coloured with Inktense pencils.

I used the small stars on the card base among the clouds and each one has some diamond stickles added.

I adhered the fairy and the speech bubble from A birdie told me on foam tape.

Lawnscaping #127, Beautiful florals

Hello.

Its new challenge time at Lawnsacping today.

Super fun challenge and open to lots of options it is "Beautiful Floral's".

Although the challenge graphic says add a flower or two I went a bit mad using the pretty flowers from fairy friends.

I repeat stamped the image all over my die cut panel of water colour card using black archival ink.

You know sometime you set out to make a clean and simple card but just cant stop?

That's what happened with this card lol.

I then stamped coloured and fussy cut all of my images.

I coloured all of the images with  Inktense pencils and a water brush.

The sentiment was simply stamped on to the bannerific die cut and adhered on foam tape.

Once everything was in place I added touches of clear wink of stella, some dots of diamond stickles and random dots of silver gel pen.

The water coloured panel was attached to a scalloped rectangle of lets polka paper and then the card base.

For my card I reached straight for my Baked with love set.

I love baking cakes so this pile of cupcakes is just my thing.

All the images were stamped in Black Archival ink and coloured with zig clean color pens and Inktense pencils and a water brush.

Everything was die cut and assembled onto the patterned paper panel.

I kept the design design very simple because I used bright colours and simply added some sequins to finish.

Lawnscaping #125 colour splash

Hello.
We have a new challenge started today on the Lawnscaping blog.
Its a colour splash.
 I love these challenges and have gone slightly away from what I would normally do.
We have to fabulous Ellen Hutson as our sponsor for this challenge.

To start my card I die cut the stitched rectangle and then stamped the gingham backdrops stamp in black and adhered to a black panel cut form the scalloped rectangles 

Then on some water colour card I stamped the flower from Our Friendship grows stamp set in black archival ink as I wanted to use my Inktense pencils to water colour it.

Now usually I would consider a colour splash as one colour but I thought a rainbow would make a real splash of colour :)

Once the flower was coloured and dried i die cut it with the co ordinating dies and adhered to the gingham panel with foam tape.

The sentiment is the scripty thanks die cut which i have cut two of , one black and one white and layered them together.

I then covered both the sentiment and flower with lost of wink of stella.

My card for this challenge uses and older set but one i still love to ink up, Admit one.

I used some distress ink and blended it directly onto my card base.

I stamped the carousel onto white card and coloured with prisma color pencils before die cutting and adding to my card base with foam tape.

The sentiment is also  stamped onto the card base.

I added some dots of glossy accents and white gel pen to add some extra interest.

Wonderful watercolour....Lawnscaping #122

Hello.

There is a new challenge up today on the Lawnscaping blog.

Water colouring!

I love water colouring ....I love the looseness  you can get,the soft effect, the many different mediums there are to create the look.

Water colouring is by far my favourite thing on cards.

This challenge is sponsored by the wonderful Lawn fawn.

For my card i have used Zig clean color pens.

These have been a must have for many  card makers and I must admit I love the bright colours you can get from them.

I started by stamping the light bulb in black archival ink onto my water colour card panel.

Once the ink dried I added the colour with the pen to the edges of the bulb and pulled the colour into the centres with a water brush.

For my sentiment i stamped it all using Milo's ABC in a straight line then cut each letter out individually.

The tricky part was then adding all the foam tape and getting it into a circle lol.

It did go a little off but I'm OK with that.

Lawnscaping 121, Warm winter wishes

Hello. 

Its the first Lawnscaping challenge of 2016 and it couldn't be more fitting as the temperature is cooling a bit here.

I was thinking we had bypassed winter and gone straight to spring!

We would love to see you get out your Lawn fawn stamps and make a winter themed project.

For my card I used some older lawn fawn papers for the background and stamped the starry backdrops onto the black and die cut the trees from the green.

The sheep from Baaah humbug are coloured in blue and pink prisma colour pencils ...my daughter said they should be those colours :)

I added them on foam tape to the snowy panel and left it very clean and simple.
