Newton dreams of London

Hello I have my card for Seven hills crafts to share today.
Today's card is for the cat lovers.
I have inked up Newtons Nooks fun new set, Newton dreams of london.

I wanted a soft look to my cards  so I added some colour to my card base using distress ink.
All of the images were stamped on water colour card and coloured with Inktense pencils and a water brush.
I have kept quite clean and simple and just added some little extras with stickles and perfect pearls.

Again I have gone with almost the same style but made the background look more like splashes.
Hopefully it wont rain where you are today.

My favourite crafty things of 2015

Hello.
This week on the Make the day special stamp store blog we are sharing our top 3 favourite things from 2015
Its my turn to share my favourite things for 2015.
Its no secret that i have the biggest craft crush on anything Winnie and Walter.
Which made it especially difficult to choose between sets.
I  went with In bloom Addies garden.
I have used this set a lot and i don't think i could ever get bored with it.
Whether its water colouring, embossing you can always change how each image looks making it so very versatile.

In Bloom: Addie's Garden

Second up on my favourites is Gleeful gardens from Lawn fawn.
I love this set so much.
Although it has really simple images you an really pack a punch by layering them up changing the colours or making scenes.
They are great for decorating enveloped for crafty friends too.
Soo many options.

Gleeful Gardens

Third  and this was tough to just stop here lol ....but its Newtons Christmas cuddles stamp set.
I have always been a cat person so the newtons cats stamps really are just perfect.
I love this set in particular it has such sweet images and can be used any time not just for Christmas.

Sparkly Christmas shaker card

Hello.
I have my card from the make the day special blog and i have combined it with the Newtons nook inky paws challenge.

Inky Paws Challenge #27 - Kraft & Sparkle | Newton's Nook Designs
I'm loving these Christmas stamps from Newtons nook  and wanted to get some  more  cards made using them.
I had already planned a shaker card although this one changed a bit as i saw the inky paws challenge on the Newtons nook blog and change to kraft.
You have time to order and play along :)

Its a basic shaker card kept simple in design.
I started my card by adding stripe of glitter tape to my kraft card base.
I the cut my frame using lawn fawn stitched rectangles and stamped the snowflake from Newtons Christmas cuddles in gold ink.

I had made the sky/snowy background using distress inks and added the fussy cut image before putting all the elements together.
The image is coloured with copics.

Newtons Christmas cuddles.

Hello here is my blog post from Make the day special stamp store blog.
I am getting stuck into my Christmas cards at last.
Its just felt way to early but i know if i don't start now i wont have time to post them.
I couldn't resist buying some of the new Newtons nook stamps.

I have used Newtons Christmas cuddles.
I stamped the images onto white card and coloured with copics.
They were stamped with antique line distress ink before colouring.
I then stamped the small snowflake a couple of times and the sentiment and kept it very simple.
It was die cut with a stitched rectangle from Lawn fawn and backed with some bokeh paper also from lawn fawn.
The final finishing touch was some diamond stickles and clear sequins.

Inky paws challenge ...Christmas cuddles

hello.
I recently got the Newtons Christmas cuddle stamp set and thought id get it inked up for the latest inky paws challenge.

#inkypaws Challenge 26 - Color Challenge | Newton's Nook Designs

As you can see from the challenge graphic its such pretty colours.

I had coloured the image already and then decide to die cut it.
I had to doctor the image slightly because the tail was slightly to big for the circle.
So a quick cut and its still attached but comes off the edge of the die cut.
I stamped the snowflake from the same stamp set in the colours for the challenge onto my card base and added the circle on foam tape.
I finished with some sequins in the same colours and some dots of stickles.
Thanks for looking.

MTDSSS sketch challenge

Hello.
Its challenge time at Make the day special stamp store.
This month we have a sketch to use i think this is a great sketch and hope you will join in.

I have used Newtons antics stamp set from Newtons Nook.
I stamped the image onto some watercolour card with archival ink and coloured with Zig clean color pens and fussy cut out.
I also used the pens on some acetate to make the background. simply by scribbling on to it and spraying with a mini mister then just applied to my card base.
For the panel across the card i used some vellum and stamped the paw prints in turquoise archival ink on the reverse and adhered to the  card using some washi tape.
Then i added the image on some foam tape.
The sentiment is stamped directly onto my  card base.
I finished with some dots of glossy accents.

Inky paws #15

If you are looking for my Winnie and Walter post please click here or scroll down. Thanks xx

Hello.
I made this card for the inky paws challenge at Newtons nook.
Its  add a little sparkle as the theme.
I haven't got any Christmas stamps from newtons nook so i used the technique that Jennifer McGuire used where she drew on the Christmas lights.
Hopefully this looks christmassy lol
Everything is coloured with copics and i added gold and red stickles to the lights and also some sequins so there is plenty of sparkle.

A close up to see the stickles, i am surprised they didn't go everywhere ...as i was waiting for them to dry my  cat decided to sit on it!
