Pug life

Hello, here is my blog post for Seven hills crafts today.

I have a couple of cards today that i have made for my daughter.

I wanted something funny and teenager relevant so this little pug dog from Avery Elle's furry friends set seemed like the perfect way to go.

I started with a die cut rectangle of water colour card and coloured it with distress inks and a blender.

I splashed some water onto the ink to add some interest then some stripes of washi tape.

The dog is coloured with prisma color pencils and fussy cut and he was placed onto a paper pieced bed.

For the sentiment I used milos abc to make "Pug life" I'm sure this will get a thumbs up from my daughter.

To finish I added some sequins.

My second card also for my daughter features another of the little dogs from the same stamp set. 

He is also coloured with Prisma color pencils.

This design is much simpler and just has a  seam binding bow to finish.

Bear hugs.

Hello I have this post today for Seven Hills Crafts.

I have some cuteness from Avery Elle to share with you today,

I have used the Beary sweet wishes stamp set that features three little gummy bears and some sentiments.

To start i stamped all of the gummy bear images on to water colour card with black archival ink then coloured with Inktense pencils and a waterbrush.

I then used the matching dies to cut them all out. 

The background is a black scalloped rectangle from lawn fawn with some lets polka paper die cut from the stitched rectangles.

The sentiment is stamped onto a stitched circle and adhered to the panel.

each of the bears is place don foam squares in rainbow order , just because :)

The final step was adding some wink of stella to each of the bears so they have a beautiful shimmer,

Mix it up take 2

Hello.

As there is still some time to enter the Mix it up challenge at Ellen Hutson i made another card using Essentials from Ellen and Avery Elle.

I started by partially die cutting my card panel with the bold blossoms dies.

Then on to my card base i stamped the images from Avery Elle's Petals and stems stamp set in various distress inks.

I also used the sentiment from the same set. 

I adhered the panel on foam tape to my card base and finished with some clear sequins.

Mix it up with Ellen Hutson

Hello.

I made this card for the Mix it up challenge from Ellen Hutson.

The challenge is to mix Essentials by Ellen products with Avery Elle.

I have used Bold blossoms dies  and Bold Blooms stamps from Ellen Hutson and finished frames happy word die and brushed stamp set from Avery Elle.

I started by heat embossing the flower and leaf images i then die cut the small panel and coloured with peerless watercolours.

Next i added the happy die cut.

I stamped the oh and day and fussy cut to fit around the happy word die cut.

Once everything was in place i added some black wink of stella then glossy accents to the happy.

Dazzling Divas challenge

Hello.

Its mood board week for the Add a little dazzle Dazzling divas challenge.

Just take inspiration for any of the images and have fun.

 

As you can see i was inspired by the images of the crayons and rather than go for a card i made this gift that is easy to do if your making up party bags.

I used the Avery Elle treat topper with some scarlet red craft metal sheets from add a little dazzle.

I die cut from card and stamped onto it then i used the die with the metal and only placed a small stripe of metal under the die before cutting then adhered the metal to the  card.

You could easily change the crayons for sweets of even include some stamped images to colour in.

Light it up blue for autism awareness blog hop

Hello and welcome to the Light it up blue for autism awareness blog hop!

Even if you follow my blog you probably wouldn't know that two of my boys have autism. 

I don't want to go too much into our personal life other than to say at times things have been pretty tough but i wouldn't have it any other way.

What i would have any other way is some peoples reaction to autism.

That's why this blog hop is a great idea.

Now for my card.

I have used this fabulously cute Ellie from Avery Elle. 

I made the blue watercolour back ground using Kuretake gansai tambi water colours.

Ellie was stamped in black distress inks and coloured with the same ink and a water brush.

The stars are Add  little dazzle craft metal sheets with an Avery Elle die.

I deliberately chose the sentiment because i think even if our kids or ourselves don't always think it you got this even when things are tough you will always get through.

I'm entering this at the aeiheartu challenge which is watercolours.

AEIheartU stripes

Hello.

I had to ink this adorable little Ellie stamp from Avery Elle for the latest aeiheartu challenge which is stripes.

And the brushed stamp set  provides the stripes as a perfect backdrop stamped in sea glass ink.

I have kept it very clean and simple and coloured ellie with copics.

The bubble are stamped with sea glass ink to and filled with some glossy accents.

AEI heart U challenge

Hello.

I made this card for the  Avery Elle  aeiheartu paper piecing challenge.

I have paper pieced the banners from "to the point" set with patterned papers.

The flower and leaves from "petals and stems" are stamped in raspberry and jungle inks and fussy cut out.

Before adding to my card base i stamped the ink splotches from "brushed".

Once everything was adhered to my card base i added the die cut hello sentiment and finished with some pink Avery Elle sequins.

Merry christmas

Here is my design team post for Make the day special stamp store.

I wanted to go with a non traditional Christmas card for today.

As im in love with black white and gold as a colour combination i went with it.

I have used Lawn Fawns let it snow stamp set  and did some partial die cutting with the Avery Elle custom panels dies.

I added a layer of vellum too just for a different texture.

Although there are lots of layers its not too bulky only some parts are on foam tape.

I finished with some gold sparkle twine and a gold heat embossed sentiment form bows and holly.

Muse

Hello.

My card is for the current muse challenge and this weeks muse is my teamie at add a little dazzle 

Vicki Dutcher.

And here is her card.

I took inspiration from the colours and the circles.

I used a die from simon says stamp and just cut once from white card then coloured the circles with distress inks before placing them back into the die cut spaces.

I the used an Avery Elle hello die and cut it twice in black before adding to my card and stamped the birthday sentiment from the mini set party animal.

 I finished with some teeny little gems.

aieheartu holiday challenge

Hello.

I'm catching up with some challenges today...rather than check them out and see I've missed the deadline lol.

This card is for the Avery Elle challenge  .

I have used the little snowman set and co coordinating dies.

Its the only Christmas set i have from Avery Elle .

I am taking part in the holiday card online class and saw a one layer card by Jennifer McGuire and really liked it ...but i made mine into a layered card...well you cant get much more layered than a shaker card hehe.

The snowman is partially die cut from the rectangle and I've used it as my frame for the shaker element of the card.

He is coloured with copics and the background is distress inks and the snowflakes are Avery Elle silver fox ink.

He is finished with some stickles and glossy accents.

Add a little dazzle and Avery Elle day #4

Hello. 

Day four of this add a little dazzle and Avery Elle collaboration i so hope you all enjoying what both design teams are  sharing  i am :)

For my card to day i have used Baby blue , perfect peacock, Ocean blue and Midnight blue craft metal sheets.

I used the Chevron bits die from Avery Elle and die cut it twice on my card panel.

Then I used the same die from Avery Elle and cut the whole set out of each colour.

I added some double sided tape behind the cut out space and then added the metal die cuts randomly in the spaces.

I then used the reverse of a craft metal sheet and die cut the Hello using the simply said hello die from Avery Elle. 

I adhered it to the card panel using tombow multi glue.

To finish i added the small stamped part of the sentiment from the stamp set simply said hello.

I love all of these colours together and the metal really packs a punch on a clean and simple card.
