Pug life

Hello, here is my blog post for Seven hills crafts today.
I have a couple of cards today that i have made for my daughter.
I wanted something funny and teenager relevant so this little pug dog from Avery Elle's furry friends set seemed like the perfect way to go.

I started with a die cut rectangle of water colour card and coloured it with distress inks and a blender.
I splashed some water onto the ink to add some interest then some stripes of washi tape.
The dog is coloured with prisma color pencils and fussy cut and he was placed onto a paper pieced bed.
For the sentiment I used milos abc to make "Pug life" I'm sure this will get a thumbs up from my daughter.
To finish I added some sequins.

My second card also for my daughter features another of the little dogs from the same stamp set.
He is also coloured with Prisma color pencils.
This design is much simpler and just has a  seam binding bow to finish.

Lawnscaping #124 Celebrate

Hello.
Today there is a new challenge on the lawnscaping blog.
You can chose to do so many things with this challenge we just want you to "Celebrate" :)
Don't forget to check out out awesome sponsor for this challenge, Lawn Fawn.

My card for this challenge uses and older set but one i still love to ink up, Admit one.
I used some distress ink and blended it directly onto my card base.
I stamped the carousel onto white card and coloured with prisma color pencils before die cutting and adding to my card base with foam tape.
The sentiment is also  stamped onto the card base.
I added some dots of glossy accents and white gel pen to add some extra interest.
Hope you can play along.
Thanks for looking.

Lawnscaping fit team blog hop... Dark blue

Hello.
Its blog hop time again from the Lawnscaping Facebook inspiration team.
Our theme this month is "Dark Blue" and we are sponsored by The ink road who are generously giving one  commenter a $25 gift certificate, be sure to leave an email address so if your the lucky winner you can be contacted.
You should have come from  the lawnscaping blog   and each of us will have a full hop list  to make things easy along the way.

My dark blue comes in the form of the fabulous balloon from Lawn fawns  blue skies stamp set.
I stamped the balloon and coloured with prisma colour pencils and i fussy cut it out even though i have the dies lol....  I die cut the balloon from Kraft card stock as well and then adhered the coloured one to it.

The rest of the card is very simply put together.
The clouds are from the blue skies matching die set and the other dies used are the stitched rectangles and scalloped rectangles both from Lawn fawn.
Your next stop on the hop is  the extremely talented Kim :D

Your full hop list is here

Thanks so much for stopping by.

CTS #110 Hello friend

Hello.
I made this card for the sketch at case this sketch.
I love the simplicity of the sketch, but ended up doing a bit more with it lol.

I have used Winnie and Walter stamps and dies.
The flowers are from the big bold extras and are coloured with Prisma color pencils onto the coloured card.
I love how the gold die cut looks against the dark card.
Thanks for looking and i would love it if you would stop by later for my Winnie and Walter leading lady post.

SSS Flickr challenge #12

To see my Winnie and Walter leading lady post please scroll down or click here.

Hello.
My card for today is for the Simon says Flickr challenge #12
This challenge is "So sparkly".
I used one of the Simon mini stencils with some texture paste and while the paste was still wet just sprinkled some dazzling diamonds on before letting it dry.
Its a very messy technique but so worth it for the beautiful sparkle.

I added the little dog from "your pawesome" stamp set and he is coloured with Prismacolor pencils.
I kept it all very clean and simple and stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in black archival ink.
To finish i added some glossy accents to the dogs eyes and nose.
