MTDSSS sketch challenge

Hello.

Have you seen the sketch challenge over at Make the day special stamp store?

I followed the sketch exactly using products from Lawn fawn.

The deer and sentiment are both from the toboggan together stamp set.

Make the day special challenge

 Hello.

Have you seen the current challenge from Make the day special ? 

It another fab colour challenge. 

And to make it even better you have the choice of three :)

Why not give it a go and you could win £15 to spend in the store.

                                Below i have not one but 3 samples ...i got carried away lol.

Hope they get you inspired to join in.

My first card took the colours from B literally and it was easy to do with these stamps from Altenew.

I simply stamped these in momento inks and finished with twine and enamel dots.

Again i have used the same colour pallet the bright colours really appealed to me.

I have used stamps from Altenew and coloured with Pro markers.

And still using the bright oranges and blues this time i have stamped the same sets from Altenew in Avery Elle inks and the heat embossed the sentiment on vellum.

A close up, the sentiments are a little tricky to heat emboss with the small font but keep with it they look really good.

And my favourite from the three colours.

A quick post to share my design team card for Make the day special.

I used lots of lawn fawn including, lets polka 6x6 paper hello baby stamps sequins and lemon twine and stitched party banners dies.

I stamped inside too as these bunnies are just too cut not to.

My design team card for Make the day special fits a couple of challenges so i am linking up to  Simon says stamp shake it  and Paper smooches sparks anything goes. 

So its another shaker card they are such fun and my daughter wants card for her friend so they are perfect :)

I have used stamps from Paper smooches, Paper from lawn fawn and sequins from neat and tangled.

Case histories

This months challenge at Make the day special blog is to case one of your early card making days.

Now I've made some truly awful cards and could have picked one of them but i don't think there's any way of improving  them they were THAT bad lol.

I picked this card to case as it was my first card for make the day special and that was really when i started making more cards than scrapbook pages.

And at Paper smooches sparks challenge and its anything goes week.

Here's a close up of the shaker part a little unusual i guess using the dress.

Just a quick post to share some cards that were on the make the day special blog last week.

I'm way behind its been a crazy time as my cat escaped his pet carrier and was lost, it took a week but thankfully i got him back.

This card uses stamps from neat and tangled and some of their sequins which are now available from make the day special :)

This card uses lawn fawn stamps and die cuts.

Sparks picture perfect

I'm sharing my Design team card for Make the day special.

 As Ive used paper smooches and followed this weeks inspiration picture i am entering this at Paper smooches sparks challenge.

I heat embossed the patterns from pot porri the coloured with watercolour paints.

I added the sentiment using the thanks word die.

Here's a close up. I covered it with glimmer mist for a gorgeous shimmer.

Inky paws #10

Hello.

I combined my design team card for Make the day special this week with the challenge at Newtons nook.

The challenge was to use wood, cork or metal.

I thought this was perfect chance for a fathers day card. 

I used Winston birthday and coloured him with copics.

I made the sentiment from mixing bits of sentiments from newtons birthday bash.

The dies cut dad is was made using a wood look vinyl.

 I have used one of the techniques from the Watercolor for cardmakers online card class.

I have used one of the techniques from day one of the class. 

I have used this before but love it.

Ive used various distress inks for the background and think they look great with the Avery Elle stamps.

I have mixed up this weeks design team card for Make the day special with CAS-ual Fridays challenge.

The challenge is to use ovals in your project.

I made an oval card ...bad idea as it doesn't stand very well lol ...although i might snip a bit from the back so that will help :)

I am filling in today on the make the day special blog you can see all the details for this card there.

I got the inspiration for this card layout from case this sketch.

I deviated a bit from the sketch but the main part the feathers is there :) 

I just couldn't  put the sentiment any other way it just didn't look right.

The images and background are all coloured with pro markers.

I'm sharing my design team card for Make the day special. 

When making this i had the Casology challenge in mind.

The cue card is Carnival ...great theme so many fun options to go with. 

My instant reaction was the lawn fawn set Admit one.

I've had this set ages and don't think i will ever get tired of stamping with it.

I coloured the image with pro markers and used them with a pen spritzer  and post it notes for masking for the background.

The patterned paper is also Lawn fawn.

Hello.

I have teamed up my design team card for Make the day special with the Paper smooches sparks picture perfect challenge.

I have gone very literal with my card and used the same heart as in the picture. I made it using geobasics set and love how it turned out.

I then stamped the sentiment from We connect in black archival ink directly over the heart.

I also used a teeny heart stamp from falling for you and added some glossy accents to it.

The gold has a slight shimmer to it but i also spritzed some glimmer mist  in tattered rose over the card front too.

I finished with some sequins. 

It really is very shimmery i just wish i could capture it on camera.
