Hello.
I had to join in at Colour throwdown this week i just love the colours for this challenge.
Such pretty colours and of course it includes aqua/turquoise.
I wanted to try something a little different than my normal and when i saw Lyndal Higgins paper pieced cards on the Winnie and Walter blog i knew i wanted to revisit paper piecing.
I used the chevron stamps and stamped on some patterned papers by studio Calico.
I adhered the paper chevrons to a die cut stitched rectangle panel.
Next i die cut another panel the same size in vellum and stamped the "thanks" in aqua archival ink and then the "for everything" in black momento that was stamped off as i didn't want it too dark.
The velum kinda tones down the colours and gives a softer look.
I used glossy accents to join the two panels together.
The adhered tot he card base with foam tape.
To finish i added some enamel dots in co-ordinating colours.
